Woodward Elks Rodeo

The Woodward Elks Rodeo is a long running tradition in Woodward and it all starts on July 20th through July 23rd. Tickets can be purchased at the gate. This rodeo has brought in many high earning riders in the past and this year should be no exception. Families for generations have been entertained by the clowns and other acts brought in for the event as well,

The rodeo week starts out with a free hamburger feed in Woodward at noon on July 20th and also offers other free meals at their evening rodeo. One favorite of the town that is generally well attended is the free BBQ on Thursday evening. A parade down Main Street is also a favorite to attend on Saturday morning.

So if you have no other plans and the heat does not bother you much, be sure to check out the Woodward Elks Rodeo next week!

Dracula comes to Woodward

Woodward Arts Theatre is playing host to On Stage Woodward's "Dracula" July 7-10. Curtain time is 8:00 pm on July 7-9th and at 2:00 pm on the 10th.  Kenton Baird, director of the one man play, is also the lead character. Actually he is the only actor.

Kenton has surprised Woodward area residents before with his "Nightmare In The County" Halloween spooky business for the last few years. This play should keep everyone interested and wondering what is next too.
